Instruction at Payam Alinasab Design is led exclusively by our founder, Payam Alinasab—an experienced fine furniture maker who crafts heirloom-quality pieces every day, giving you a rare opportunity to learn directly from a working master. Our private woodworking courses offer a refined, one-on-one learning experience tailored to every skill level—from introductory sessions to advanced, master-level training.
Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or more advanced woodworker, these programs are designed to help you build confidence, refine skills, and ultimately create something extraordinary. Each class provides focused guidance, hands-on practice, and an intentional approach to tools, joinery, and a wide range of woodworking techniques.
In select classes, participants also have the opportunity to create a finished piece; please refer to each class description for specific project details.
Classes Overview
-
Our beginner classes introduce the fundamentals of woodworking in a private, one-on-one setting. Participants learn essential techniques, safe tool handling, and how to work with both machinery and hand tools. These sessions build a strong foundation for anyone new to the craft.
Some beginner classes also include the option to create a small finished piece, as noted in the class description.
-
Intermediate and advanced classes are designed for participants who already have some woodworking experience, with specific skill expectations varying by course. Each class may explore more complex techniques, refined joinery, or focused project-based learning.
Depending on the class, a basic foundation or higher level of experience may be required, and in select courses participants may create a finished piece. Please refer to each individual class description for detailed prerequisites and project information.
